Radiation Therapists play an active role throughout each patient’s treatment journey, from performing CT simulations and supporting patient setup to acquiring imaging and completing daily treatment verification. They work closely with dosimetrists and Radiation Oncologists to support accurate, safe treatment delivery and contribute to machine and patient quality assurance, as well as ongoing quality and safety initiatives across the department.
Radiation Therapists work closely with Radiation Oncologists, dosimetrists, physicists and nursing staff to provide coordinated, high-quality patient care. From patient simulations and image review to treatment delivery and complex case problem-solving, therapists are valued members of the multidisciplinary team and play an important role in supporting safe, effective treatment.
Experienced Radiation Therapists have opportunities to expand their skills through advanced treatment techniques, CT simulation, clinical education, mentoring, quality improvement initiatives and equipment implementation. Team members are also encouraged to pursue continuing education, professional development and certifications that strengthen their clinical expertise and support continued career growth.
